Watch A Very Harold & Kumar 3D Christmas Online Streaming

Last week I watched two classic horror movies: “The Thing” and “The Exorcist.” Watching John Carpenter’s “The Thing,” just further reminded me of how crappy the recent prequel was. With its spooky score, good looking practical effects, and more fully formed characters, Carpenter’s story is far superior. If you were thinking about seeing the prequel, skip it, so you can stay in and watch Carpenter’s version.

Even though I didn’t find myself grossed out by any of the nasty behavior of the possessed little girl (Linda Blair) in “The Exorcist,” I really appreciated the eerie music, the spectacular character development, and the visual skill with which director William Friedkin tells this tale. Friedkin reminds us that horror movies can be disgusting and freaky, but that the best ones also feature characters you can get invested in.

This week promises two comedies and a crime thriller at the box office. You’ll have the chance to see the Cannabis comedy “A Very Harold & Kumar 3D Christmas,” the lighthearted robbery romp “Tower Heist,” and the cop drama “The Son of No One.”

Diaz begain to land a number of strikes to the body and face in the second round. He taunted Penn and continued to land heavy strikes, dazing the former champion. It was more of the same in the third round with Diaz picking apart Penn at will, landing numerous combinations that left Penn's face swollen and bloodied.

All three judges scored the fight in Diaz's favor 29-28, 29-27 and 29-28.

In the co-main event, Cheick Kongo defeated Matt Mitrione by unanimous decision 30-27, 30-28, 29-28.

Earlier, Roy "Big Country" Nelson defeated Mirko Cro Cop by TKO due to strikes at 1:30 of the third round, sending the MMA legend home with a loss in what appears to be his final fight. Muammar Gaddafi Killed, Captured In Sirte

Following the capture of Muammar Gaddafi's hometown of Sirte, contradictory reports suggest that Colonel Gaddafi may have been killed or captured in Libya.

Al Jazeera and Libyan state television are reporting that the Libyan dictator has been killed during a gunbattle in Sirte. A senior National Transitional Council official, Abdel Majid, told Reuters by telephone that Gaddafi has died of wounds suffered during his capture in Sirte. Reuters reports that he was wounded in both legs as he "tried to flee in a convoy which NATO warplanes attacked."In Tripoli, celebrations are already underway with gunfire and honking. "We've heard quite a lot of celebratory gunfire," Caroline Hawley reports for the BBC.

Secretary of State Hillary Rodham Clinton visited Libya on Tuesday to offer a new aid package. She told students during a gathering in Tripoli, "We hope [Gaddafi] can be captured or killed soon so that you don't have to fear him any longer."

Gaddafi was ousted from power in August, and his whereabouts have been unknown for months. The Criminal Court in The Hague, Netherlands, accused Libya's former ruler of crimes against humanity.

Reuters is also reporting that an official from the National Transitional Council, Libya's interim government, has confirmed the death of Abu Bakr Yunis Jabr, Gaddafi's Minister of Defense.

Rome Protests Erupt: Cars Torched, Windows Smashed

Anti-greed protesters rallied globally on Saturday, denouncing bankers and politicians over the international economic crisis, with violence rocking Rome where cars were torched and bank windows smashed.

Galvanized by the Occupy Wall Street movement, protests began in New Zealand, touched parts of Asia, spread to Europe, and resumed at their starting point in New York with 5,000 marchers decrying corporate greed and economic inequality.

After weeks of intense media coverage, U.S. protests have still been smaller than G20 meetings or political conventions have yielded in recent years. Such events often draw tens of thousands of demonstrators.

The demonstrations by the disaffected coincided with the Group of 20 meeting in Paris, where finance ministers and central bankers from major economies were holding talks on the debt and deficit crises.

"I'm not passive anymore and I don't want them to be. This is their future too," Dawson said. "I work four jobs part-time, I take whatever I can get."

WikiLeaks founder Julian Assange told the crowd: "I hope this protest will result in a similar process to what we saw in New York, Cairo and Tunisia," he said, referring to revolutions in the Arab world.

Outside of New York, similar protests were held in other U.S. cities and Canada. Hundreds turned out in Washington, D.C., while a couple of thousand people gathered near Toronto's financial district as well as in Portland, Oregon.

A protest in Los Angeles drew about 5,000 people.

Manchester City 4-1 Aston Villa Video

Mario Balotelli's stunning goal helped Manchester City on their way to a crushing win over Aston Villa that handed them the outright leadership of the Barclays Premier League.

Given the chance to lead the line for a second straight game, the 21-year-old, the £24million signing from Inter Milan last summer, thrived on the responsibility and his sumptuous first-half overhead kick brought his side to life after a sterile opening.

With Villa's resistance broken, Adam Johnson, Vincent Kompany and James Milner added second-half goals and Owen Hargreaves came on for his Premier League debut on a near-perfect afternoon for City, who pulled two points clear of cross-city rivals United ahead of next weekend's Manchester derby.Stephen Warnock netted a consolation for Villa.

City's afternoon was slightly soured when Richards limped off just after the hour and, while he was doing so, Villa pulled a goal back as Warnock stormed on to Agbonlahor's cross - taking advantage of Richards' absence - to score.

It only provided momentary solace for Villa, though, who fell three behind again with 20 minutes remaining.

Nigel de Jong's long pass played in Johnson and, after some trickery from the winger, the ball was moved on to Milner who found the top corner from the edge of the box against his former club.

Silva, on for Toure, then went close after more impressive work from Balotelli, before Hargreaves came on for his first taste of Premier League action since an injury-halted seven minutes for Manchester United last November, immediately launching himself into two tackles as if to prove his fitness.

Liverpool 1-1 Man Utd - 15 October 2011

Manchester United travel to Anfield to face their arc-rivals Liverpool on Saturday. As one of the most eagerly-anticipated fixtures of the season, the lunchtime showdown promises to get Premier League action back under way in style after the international break.

Liverpool have full fledged squad to stand against Champions today with captain Steven Gerrard expected to start for first time since March. Glen Johnson, who was suffering from hamstring injury, has also been declared fit to play. Moreover, Daniel Agger has recovered from a broken rib sustained last month and is also available for selection.

Vidic for Man Utd been sidelined since United's opening weekend win at West Brom with a calf injury but could make his comeback at Anfield while Tom cleverly and Rafael remains sidelined due to injuries.

Occupy Wall Street: HIV-Positive Man Punched By Cop, Legal Observer Run Over By Scooter (VIDEOS)

Having just learned they would not be evicted from Zucotti Park Friday morning, emboldened protesters marched on Wall Street where they clashed with police.

One man was caught on video being punched in the face by an officer.

Rivera-Pitre said because of the blood, he feels like the police officer should get tested for HIV.

He did not get arrested, however. "The cops were pulling me by my feet and the crowd was pulling me by my hands, and I was suspended in the air," Rivera-Pitre said. "But there were more people than cops, and they pulled me out."

Gothamist said police were seen searching for Rivera-Pitre but did not catch him.

Police haven't said how many people were arrested this morning, but did admit multiple people were taken into custody. The Associated Press reports that 14 people were arrested.

One man was arrested when he was knocked to the ground, and kicked a police officer's scooter after it ran over him (see video below).

It's now confirmed that the man was a legal observer for the National Lawyer's Guild. He is currently in police custody in the emergency room where he's being treated for injuries.

Most of the confrontations with police were from the hundreds who began marching towards the New York Stock Exchange, and not from the group who remained at Zuccotti Park.

According to reports on Twitter, police are now requiring people show work IDs to move down Wall Street.

FAA investigates skydiving sex stunt over California

The Mile High Club has just been one-upped. When porn star and weekend skydiving instructor Alex Torres (a.k.a Voodoo) decided to film himself and Skydive Taft receptionist Hope Howell doing the deed at thousands of feet above ground, it seemed like they had covered all the bases. According to KGET, they filmed the stunt in the very early morning where no one could be disturbed and no public nudity complaints could be thrown their way.

But now the Taft Police Department is involved and this stunt all of a sudden seems a lot less fun. Both the Taft Police and the FAA (Federal Aviation Administration) are investigating whether the pilot of the plane should get some serious heat for allowing this to happen. While it is technically legal to have sex in a private plane, The Sacramento Bee reports that "FAA spokesman Ian Gregor says any activity that could distract the pilot while he's flying could be a violation of federal regulations." The skydiving sweethearts are reported to having started the act on the plane and then continued once they jumped out in tandem into the air.

Arron Asham, Jay Beagle Fight: Penguins Forward Apologizes For Knockout Punch On Capitals Center (VIDEO)

PITTSBURGH -- Pittsburgh Penguins forward Arron Asham wanted to fire up his teammates when he dropped the gloves with Washington's Jay Beagle in the third period on Thursday.

Asham, however, took it a step too far when he rubbed it in as Beagle lay stunned on the ice, and the veteran brawler called himself on it.

Saying it was "classless," Asham apologized for mocking Beagle after dropping him with two punches in Washington's 3-2 overtime win.

Asham decked Beagle with a pair of right hands, sending the 25-year-old face-first onto the ice. Asham then spread his arms out, palms down, like a referee signaling a fighter is "out" as he skated to the penalty box and followed it up by placing his hands on the side of his head to imitate someone sleeping.

"It's unfortunate the way the fight ended," Asham said. "I wanted to win but I didn't want to go out and hurt anyone. It was uncalled for."

Washington captain Alex Ovechkin said Asham was "not respectful" for going toe-to-toe with an inexperienced fighter.

"It's a hockey game, but that was pretty tough," Ovechkin said. "Beagle ... he's not a fighter, he's just, it's not his job to fight. I don't know, it's kind of unrespectful for players on a different team."

King Jigme is widely revered in the remote kingdom of some 700,000 people.

The wedding has been keenly anticipated in the tiny kingdom. Posters, commemorative plates and a badge have been produced and were widely available across Bhutan for the occasion.

The whole theme of the wedding was to keep it a simple family affair, that is the Bhutanese family," Kinley Dorji, Bhutan's secretary of information, told the Associated Press news agency.

Train crash in Calif. station injures 17 people Video

SAN FRANCISCO (AP) – Amtrak officials in northern California say 17 people suffered minor injuries when two Amtrak trains collided at an Oakland station.Authorities originally reported 16 injuries in the crash about 10 p.m. Wednesday. But Amtrak spokesman Cliff Cole says the company compiled numbers all night to arrive at the higher figure.
The injuries were all considered minor.
Authorities have said the crash occurred when a passenger train traveling an estimated 15 to 20 mph ran a red signal and struck a stationary train unloading passengers head-on.
Amtrak has said it could not comment on the report of the train running a red light.
The company says it and the owner of the tracks, Union Pacific Freight Railroad, will work with federal officials to investigate the crash.
Service at the station remained suspended early Thursday morning.Passengers who paid for travel on canceled trains can contact Amtrak to receive refund without fee or penalty, according to Amtrak.
The crash is the second significant incident in two weeks in the San Francisco East Bay area where there were injuries to Amtrak passengers.
On Sept. 30, 37 passengers and two crew members suffered minor to moderate injuries when an Amtrak passenger train collided with a truck at a crossing near Brentwood where there were no lights or gates.

Shooting At Seal Beach: Eight Confirmed Dead, One Critically Wounded (DEVELOPING)

Seal Beach police said the death toll from the salon shooting has risen to eight people. A ninth victim is in critical condition at Long Beach Memorial Medical Center.

"This could be one of our greatest tragedies," Police Sgt. Steve Bowles said.

The gunman opened fire inside the crowded salon Wednesday, littering the shop with bodies. Police said he acted alone, although investigators said they were still scrambling to piece together what triggered such violence.

Full coverage: Deadly shooting at Seal Beach beauty salon

Eyewitnesses said that he was targeting his ex-wife and that the two were involved in a custody dispute.

The alleged shooter was apprehended only a few blocks from the Salon Meritage, the Pacific Coast Highway shop that was bustling with customers and stylists when the shooting erupted.

One of the victims was apparently the owner of the salon, Randy Fannin, a relative said.

“Randy is dead,” said the owner’s niece, Tami Scarcella. “Randy is dead for sure.”

A middle-aged Anaheim woman who identified herself as Cindy said she was sitting in the chair getting her hair done by Fannin when a man walked in and started shooting.

“We thought it was maybe firecrackers,” she said. “But he just didn’t stop. Anybody he saw he was shooting.”

“It went boom, boom, boom,” she said, speaking outside the taped-off crime scene. “I was afraid he was going to shoot everybody.”

The afternoon shooting left the normally placid beach town struggling to make sense of the carnage. A policeman spokesman said the shooting had put the city and its small police force on unfamiliar ground.

Bowles said the crime scene was horrific. “There are victims throughout the entire salon," he said.

Witnesses and survivors alike were taken to a nearby apartment complex to settle their nerves. Others milled outside the police lines at the neighborhood shopping center, recounting what had happened.

Marissa Pei said she had been at the gym earlier in the day with a friend before bumping into her again outside the shopping center. She was sobbing.

" ''My friend is dead. My friend is dead,’ ” Pei said the woman told her. “I held her.”

Pei said she also spoke to a man married to someone who was at the salon.

“’My baby. She’s half of me,’ ” Pei recalled him saying. “ 'Please, God, don’t let her be dead.’ ”

Dion Martini, a manicurist at a nearby salon, said: "This is a shock to the whole community. All of us around here have worked together at one time or another."

Martini was busy with a client herself when she heard sirens and helicopters and knew something was wrong. When she learned a shooting had unfolded in a salon much like hers, she struggled to contain her emotions.

"I've been having chills and had to hold back tears," she said. "I just can't imagine anybody being that sick to go in and do that to anybody."

Dr. James Blake, a dentist, was in his 5th street office doing bridge work on a patient, as his hygienists cleaned other patients’ teeth, when he heard what he later learned were gunshots coming from the parking lot outside.

“Then there was a pause and a few more gunshots,” said Blake in an interview with The Times. “I didn’t see the shooter.”

Alarmed, Blake said his staff immediately locked the door to the office until police arrived.

The shooting “definitely was very unexpected” for Seal Beach, said Blake, who’s had his office in the shopping center since 1992.

”When you have somebody who just loses it, you can be anywhere and not be safe,” he said.

Ryan Howard Injury: Phillies First Baseman Injured During Loss To Cardinals (VIDEO)

Making your team's last out of the postseason is never a pleasant experience, but it was particularly terrible for Ryan Howard in the Phillies' loss to the Cardinals on Friday night. Recording the game-ending out in a close game is an ignominious distinction that Alex Rodriguez earned, again, on Thursday at Yankee Stadium. It was the second time in two seasons that A-Rod had the displeasure of putting a period at the end of his team's campaign, having been retired by Neftali Feliz to conclude the 2010 ALCS. On Friday night, Howard did the same for the Phillies, also for the second time in two seasons. To make matters, worse Howard appeared to suffer a serious injury while making the out.

As the Cardinals jubilantly descended on Carpenter, Howard lay sprawled on the first base line. He was grabbing at his left ankle. Trainers rushed out to attend to him, but stunned teammates either shuffled, heads down, back to the clubhouse or watched, glassy-eyed as the Cards celebrated on their home field.

Euro 2012: Montenegro 2-2 England

England secured their place at Euro 2012 with a scrambled draw in Montenegro - but Wayne Rooney was sent off and will miss the start of the tournament.

Fabio Capello insisted Rooney was in the right frame of mind to play in stormy Podgorica despite his father's arrest on Thursday in a probe into alleged betting irregularities, but his flash of temper - when he kicked out at Miodrag Dzudovic - suggested otherwise.

England's path to Poland and Ukraine next summer looked to be a smooth one as goals from Ashley Young and Darren Bent gave them a comfortable lead after 31 minutes.

But England's final qualifier, played out in the hostile surroundings of Podgorica City Stadium, turned on two incidents that will have cast a cloud over Capello's delight at reaching another major tournament.

Elsad Zverotic gave Montenegro hope with a goal with the last kick of the first half - and when Rooney was deservedly shown red by referee Wolfgang Stark, England were placed under pressure they could not survive.

Just as the clash entered stoppage time Dzudovic crossed for Andrija Delibasic to head in at the far post for a goal that gave Montenegro the point that puts them into next month's qualifying play-offs.

Rooney's sending off will be the main talking point, however, and his actions once again raise questions about his temperament that he looked to have gone a long way towards answering in recent times. In a single moment Montenegro and their supporters were given fresh impetus and encouragement. Beciraj tested Hart with a low shot before teenager Phil Jones, on his England debut, suffered an anxious moment when Stevan Jovetic went down under his challenge, leaving the youngster clearly relieved to see referee Stark wave away Montenegro's appeals.Capello made a change on the hour which was presumably enforced by injury as the excellent Young was replaced by Stewart Downing. And four minutes later Bent went off to allow Frank Lampard to come on and restore England's earlier midfield superiority.

As England attempted to steady the ship, the Rooney flashpoint occurred 17 minutes from time. He was involved in little more than a routine battle for possession near the touchline before lashing out at Dzudovic.

Dzudovic made the most of the offence but Rooney could have no complaints when he was shown a red card.

The final twist came with that late equaliser. The final whistle brought celebrations from both sets of fans - but utter dejection for the tormented Rooney.

LaMichael James Injured In Oregon's 43-15 Win Over Cal ( VIDEO)

EUGENE, Ore. -- When Oregon running back LaMichael James hit the turf early in the fourth quarter against California, he knew right away his right elbow was dislocated.

So he took a painful but effective course of action.

"I panicked," he said. "It was out so I popped it back in real quick."

The nation's leading rusher had his arm in a sling after the No. 9 Ducks' 43-15 victory over Cal on Thursday night. He said X-rays showed the elbow wasn't broken.

James had to be carted off the field after the gruesome-looking injury that came on Oregon's fourth unanswered touchdown drive of the second half.Oregon quickly regained the lead after the half with Darron Thomas' 23-yard pass to De'Anthony Thomas. The Ducks extended it on Kenjon Barner's 68-yard touchdown run and Darron Thomas' completed pass to De'Anthony Thomas for the 2-point conversion.

Darron Thomas hit De'Anthony Thomas again with a 21-yard touchdown before James was injured on a fourth-quarter drive capped by Darron Thomas' 3-yard scoring pass to Lavasier Tuinei.

Darron Thomas completed 13 of 25 passes for 198 yards and three touchdowns.

Maynard finished 20 of 41 for 218 yards and a score.

Cal cornerback Marc Anthony was in street clothes after he appeared to injure his arm in the first half. The Bears would not confirm the injury.

Both Cal and Oregon were coming off of byes. The Ducks beat Arizona 56-31 in their last outing, while the Bears came up short against Washington, 31-23, when the Huskies stopped the final drive on fourth down at the 2.

Katarzyna Lenart, Aspiring Polish Politician, Re-Creates 'Basic Instinct' In Sexy Ad (VIDEO)

We've seen some sexy campaign ads (thanks Conan!), but Katarzyna Lenart's "Basic Instinct" ad takes the cake. And it's not a parody.

Politico's Ben Smith brought our attention to this ad from the 23-year-old, a Democratic Left Alliance (SLD) candidate in Poland's parliamentary election this weekend.

According to AustrianTimes.at, the slogan at the end reads: "You want more? Vote for SLD. Only we can do more."

The slogan channels the Civic Platform's slogan, "We'll do more," Politico's Smith reports. The Civic Platform (PO) is the country's ruling party.

The Herald Sun translated comments Lenart gave Polish newspaper Gazeta Wyborcza.About a year ago, a bikini-clad Katarzyna Szczolek, a Polish pop singer who goes by the name Sara May, released sexy campaign posters in an attempt to win a seat representing Bemowo on the Warsaw district council.

A recent poll conducted in Poland suggests that the Democratic Left Alliance will garner the third most votes of any party in this weekend's election, earning it representation in parliament, the Associated Press reports.

Phillies-Cardinals Squirrel Interruption: Animal Runs Across Home Plate During Game 4 (VIDEO)

Throughout the baseball season, hitters have struggled mightily to disrupt the dominance of the Philadelphia Phillies' quartet of aces.

During the fifth inning of NLDS Game 4 between the Phillies and Cardinals, a cute critter momentarily succeeded where so many fearsome sluggers have failed. With Roy Oswalt on the mound in the bottom of the fifth, a fluffy-tailed squirrel ran across home plate as he delivered a pitch to St. Louis' Skip Schumaker.Oswalt seemed to be distracted by the dashing squirrel that emerged from the first-base dugout. The home plate umpire called the pitch a ball, which seemed to further perturb Oswalt. The Phillies' starter seemed to want his pitch not to count, but the ump wasn't hearing it. Phillies manager Charlie Manuel even ambled out of the dugout to check in with the umpire. But, apparently, there is no squirrel do-over in the MLB rule book. If history is any judge, MLB will also be the last league to adopt squirrel replay on balls and strikes.

After the brief delay, Schumaker was ahead in the count 2-1. But Oswalt would recover his poise and induce a fly out on the next pitch.

Although the squirrel ultimately didn't hurt Oswalt on the scoreboard, he may still be recommending greenskeeper Carl Spackler for a job at Busch Stadium.

Watch A Black Bear Attack Man in His Living Room

It’s not safe anywhere, this is crazySeveral sources are reporting regarding the man who was attacked in his own living room. Rich Moyer survived a vicious attack by a black bear in his own home. This is sad- watch the video clip below.Eventually, the bear seemed to lose interest and wandered into the woods, where it had yet to be found by Tuesday. Moyer required dozens of stitches and staples to close his head wound but was able to talk good-naturedly about the incident after returning home.

"I know what it's like to be a salmon now," he joked to reporters.

About 15 months ago, a woman was attacked by a bear in the same area as she walked her dog. She was treated for bites and scratches. But there is no record of a black bear killing anyone in the wild in the area for more than 100 years, according to wildlife officials.

There are an estimated 18,000 bears in Pennsylvania, and since 2003 it has been illegal to feed bears as part of the state's effort to prevent dangerous encounters between bears and people. Read more about Pennsylvania's bear population in this notice from game officials.

Wildlife officials say bear activity tends to increase this time of year as the animals step up efforts to find food and fatten themselves and their cubs before they go into hibernation in November.

Adrian Beltre Home Run Cameraman Falls Down While Rangers Star Rounds Bases (VIDEO)

TBS proved on Tuesday that it is very serious about its slogan "Very Funny."

During the Texas Rangers' victory over the Tampa Bays that was broadcast on the cable network, a cameraman took an awkward spill. Rather than ignore the blooper, TBS went ahead and replayed it after a commercial break.. in slow motion.Very funny.
During the second inning of the Rangers' series-clinching win, third baseman Adrian Beltre homered to left field off Tampa Bay pitcher Jeremy Hellickson. The blast was the first of three on the day for Beltre, but his trot around the bases proved far more memorable than his swing. The inning continued as fans at Tropicana Field weren't sure if Beltre had actually knocked the cameraman over accidentally. The producers of the broadcast made sure to clear up any confusion when they replayed the entire incident when the Rangers took the field for the bottom of the frame.

Belre would add another to longballs to power Rangers past the Rays, clinching a spot in the ALCS. ended up winning the game and closing out their series against the Rays. And all things considered we're not sure who today's events will haunt more: the Rays or the camera man.

Somalia Truck Bomb Explosion Kills At Least 70 In Capital Video

MOGADISHU, Somalia — Islamist militants detonated a truck bomb Tuesday in front of the education ministry in Somalia's capital as students and parents crowded around to learn about scholarships, killing at least 70 people and wounding dozens, officials said.

It was the deadliest bomb attack in Somalia by al-Shabab, an al-Qaida-linked group which began its insurgency five years ago. It was also the first significant attack in the capital since al-Shabab withdrew most of its gunmen in August amid an offensive by African Union forces, which is protecting the weak U.N.-backed government.

The truck blew up at a security checkpoint at the entrance to the Ministry of Education, said Ali Hussein, a police officer in Mogadishu. After the thunderous blast, blackened corpses were sprawled on the debris-strewn street amid burning vehicles. Uniformed soldiers dragged the wounded from the hellish scene. The governmetns aid students and their parents were among those killed.Somalia has endured mostly anarchy for the last two decades. The nation is gripped by famine, which is mostly affecting southern parts of the country controlled by al-Shabab. The U.N. estimates tens of thousands have died in Somalia and nearby countries from the famine and that 750,000 people are in danger of dying over the next few months.

Verlander, Tigers push Yankees to brink of elimination with Game 3 win

This was the night Justin Verlander had been waiting for ever since he struggled through October as a worn-out rookie five years ago.
Now a tireless ace for a new group of blue-collar Tigers, Verlander struck out 11 in eight gritty innings to lead Detroit past the New York Yankees 5-4 Monday night in Game 3 of their American League playoff.
And once Jose Valverde whiffed Derek Jeter with two on to end another drama-filled ninth, the Tigers were one win from the AL championship series.
"This is the first time I've been in this situation and felt good. In 2006 as a rookie, I was pretty fatigued," Verlander said. "I've worked my tail off since then, and I feel like every year I've been ready for this. And this is why I work so hard. There's no point in holding anything back now."Gardner lined a 3-2 pitch from Verlander to left-center. By the time Jackson raced over to retrieve the ball and unleashed a mediocre throw back to the infield, both runners were on their way home for a 4-all tie.
But that was it for the Yankees, and now their season rests in the hands of Burnett."I feel good about what A.J. is going to do for us tomorrow," Girardi said.NOTES: Burnett went 11-11 with a 5.15 ERA in the regular season. ... Verlander and Sabathia were the first AL pitchers to start Games 1 and 3 of a postseason series since Oakland's Dave Stewart in the earthquake-interrupted 1989 World Series against San Francisco. ... Actor Jeff Daniels, who is a big fan of Michigan sports, stood on the Detroit dugout about a half-hour before the game and played "Tiger Fan Blues 2011" for the crowd.

VIDEO: Colts DT Eric Foster’s Leg/Ankle Injury Looks Pretty Nasty

Indianapolis Colts defensive tackle Eric Foster suffered what can only be described as a gruesome injury on Monday Night Football. It appears that Foster’s leg got caught underneath teammate Tyler Brayton as he was falling, and when all was said and done, Foster’s foot was facing the absolute opposite direction it should have.
The injured Colt was carted off the field, and even though the injury looked as if it might have been a broken leg, the Colts are labeling it as a dislocated right ankle. I’d go so far as to say it’s a possible season-ending, severely dislocated right ankle, but I’m no doctor.
Foster appeared to get tangled up with Colts defensive end Tyler Brayton as the pair of linemen pursued Bucs QB Josh Freeman. In the video below, you can see Foster getting caught under Brayton's leg and crumpling to the turf.
Fair warning: the video is tough to watch — just ask anyone who saw it live. Anyone, including LeBron James.

Winner: T.J. Grant, technical submission, round 3.

This is a fight with particular local interest, as Easton is a DC native and considered a fighter on the rise. Easton gets a superstar reaction from the live crowd. Yves Edwards vs. Rafaello Oliveira

Edwards is one of the most experienced fighters in the UFC, having fought for almost a decade and a half professionally. Matt Wiman vs. Mac Danzig

This is a rematch of a controversial bout from last year. Wiman had Danzig in a guillotine choke. The referee thought that Danzig went out and stopped the fight, but Danzig wasn't out at all and rightfully protested immediately. Wiman gets out but Danzig goes back to work with punches. They clinch and Danzig lands a nice knee and uppercut. Wiman connects with a few looping punches of his own. Round 2. Wiman starts with a few leg kicks. They clinch and Wiman lands a nice knee and short elbow. Wiman connects with a body punch and again clinches. Danzig drops down a few punches as Wiman moves up his hips and looks for an armbar. Wiman can't quite get it and Danzig after getting out of danger immediately opens up with punches from the top. Wiman transitions into looking for a kimura. Danzig is able to avoid that and throws down more punches. Finally, Wiman gets up with 80 seconds left in the round. Danzig throws a series of punches against the cage. Wiman backs him up with punches of his own and hits Danzig with a solid knee to the body. Another very difficult round to score. 10-9 Danzig.

Round 3. Wiman pushes forward early and lands a nice kick to the body. Danzig looks to counter the more aggressive Wiman. They again clinch and exchange punches from very tight range. Danzig looks for a judo throw but Wiman defends it without too much difficulty. Wiman gets the best of an exchange next to the cage with a right hook connecting particularly well. Danzig then takes Wiman down. Danzig throws a bunch of punches as Wiman is trying to stand up and then climbs on Wiman's back with one hook in. Wiman brushes him off and takes top position. Wiman drops down elbows up against the cage. Danzig stands back up. They go back to trading punches and knees up against the cage and Wiman drops down to look for a takedown. Danzig grabs a guillotine at the close of the round but Wiman holds up his thumb to indicate he's fine and the round concludes. Excellent, hard fought contest. 10-9 Wiman, 29-28 Danzig. But all three rounds were close and a decision either way is perfectly justifiable.
